Dominican Republic Green Bond Pioneer
The first issuer from the Dominican Republic, Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina, S. A. is an electricity producer. The company provides electricity from solar, wind and thermal power plants. Proceeds from the bonds are destined to expand the renewable energy portfolio. Which contemplates the installation of an additional 1,000 MW from 2020 to 2030.
